With a contagious smile and an infectious passion for music, DJ Shyno is taking the radio world by storm. This talented DJ and radio presenter has already made a name for himself in the industry, with multiple award nominations and a dedication to inspiring others.
“I’m passionate about music and love inspiring others through my platforms,” says DJ Shyno, born Melvin Asare Francis. “I believe that music has the power to unite and uplift us, and I’m honored to be a part of that process.”
DJ Shyno’s journey to success began in Wassa Akropong, where he worked as a taxi driver while pursuing his dream of becoming a radio presenter. He enrolled in a media school for two years, then joined Sikka FM as a receptionist and DJ. In 2017, he joined ABN Ghana, leading to his achievement as a presenter and studio manager at Angel FM.
“Awards and recognition are a great motivator, but it’s the love and support of my listeners which truly drive me,” DJ Shyno remarks.
DJ Shyno has an impressive track record, with multiple award nominations under his belt. He was nominated for Radio DJ of the Year at the 2020 Western Music Awards and 2020 WRTP Awards, and again in 2021 for Radio DJ of the Year at the WRTP Awards. He has also been the official DJ for Vybez Records in Africa and has worked with top radio stations in Ghana.
“I’m humbled by the recognition, but I know that there’s still so much work to be done,” DJ Shyno says. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day.”
DJ Shyno is known for his positive and optimistic attitude, drawing inspiration from his predecessors and motivating others through his social media platforms, particularly TikTok. He is dedicated to his craft and has a passion for helping others achieve their goals.
“My motto is ‘Spread Love and Positivity’ and I try to live by that every day,” DJ Shyno remarks. “I believe that music and media can be powerful tools for inspiring and uplifting others, and I want to use my platform to make a positive impact.”
