Don’t be an ordinary politician – Samini advises Dumelo
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

Dancehall artiste, Samini has sent a congratulatory message to Actor cum politician John Dumelo following his (Dumelo’s) win in the just ended Parliamentary primaries at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

Samini wants the popular actor to play a pivotal role in changing the narrative associated with politics in Ghana.

In a tweet, Samini asked John Dumelo to be the change the youth wants and not add up to the many alleged corrupt practices politicians are deemed to be engaged in.

“Congrats @johndumelo1 for stepping to the table and winning the 1st step. Bro you are an inspiration to many and we the youth are in support of young people taking charge of things in politics, however bro, we want to make a difference and not repeat the narrative #Idey4u my gee,” Samini’s tweet read.

The two (Samini and John Dumelo) some weeks ago were engaged in a banter on social media over a proposal by parliament to build a new chamber for more than $200 million.

John Dumelo, like many others, showed strong opposition to the idea, saying there were other pressing issues that needed urgent attention. Samini retorted to the post by the actor questioning Dumelo’s genuine intent saying the many state V8’s the actor has coveted could equally serve a lot of good should they be sold off.
