Kontinhene of Asuom, Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade III, has said that Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is now running away from the economy because he has failed woefully.

According to him, the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party was packaged to Ghanaians as the “Messi” who was coming to save Ghana’s economy but the situation is now worse than it used to be.

Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade III said Dr. Bawumia who was hailed as the economic Messiah is now going around parading himself as only a ball boy because he failed to do the job.

“We were told that Dr. Bawumia is going to be our Messi and save the economy but because he couldn’t see his left from right managing the economy, he now goes around claiming that he was only a ball boy.”

Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade III also urged Dr. Bawumia to stop claiming credit for digitalization because former president John Dramani Mahama laid all the foundation before he left office in 2017.

“He was brought to save the economy but now he says digitization and he is claiming credit but it was John Mahama who laid all the foundation for digitalization. So it is time we bring back Mahama before the NPP will collapse things completely.”
