Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged the Ghana Police Service to maintain professionalism as the nation approaches the general elections.

Addressing police personnel at the commissioning of the Ghana Police Shop in Accra on July 17, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the significant role the Ghana Police Service has played in maintaining peace in the country.

He praised the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his efforts in modernizing the Service.

Dr. Bawumia also called on police personnel to make further sacrifices and commended the service for their achievements, including the establishment of the new police shop.

He noted that Police the Shop is a dedicated shop where officers can purchase additional uniforms in support of what their respective institutions can provide.

“The Police Shop will ensure officers always come out smart in their uniforms and also procure additional logistics to deliver on their mandate,” Dr Bawumia said.
