A new opinion poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries on January 31, 2026, for the 2028 general elections shows former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia leading the field among likely voters within the party.

According to the poll, Dr. Bawumia secured 45% of respondents’ support, placing him well ahead of other potential contenders.

He is followed by Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, who garnered 31%

The survey further indicates that Dr. Bryan Acheampong trails with 3%, while Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong each recorded 0% support among respondents captured in the model.

Notably, a significant portion of respondents remain non-committal. The poll shows 11% of likely voters preferring an undisclosed candidate, while 9% said they were undecided, highlighting lingering uncertainty within the party’s base as the primaries approach.
