Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has attributed their Ghana Premier League defeat to Hearts of Oak to fatigue.

The Porcupine Warriors have now lost back to back games in the Ghana Premier League and Dr. Ogum says the distance they have covered for the past couple of days has affected their team.

He told the press after the game at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium that he is not trying to make excuses for their defeat but his players were exhausted from playing three games in 7 days.

“We looked very tired on the field. The stress of the journey from Kumasi to Anyinase is about nine hours; we played on Sunday and then traveled another 10 hours to Accra.”

“After that, we played on Wednesday and had to travel all the way from Accra back to Kumasi. You could see they were tired. It was fatigue that affected our performance,” Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum said.

Asante Kotoko are now third on the Ghana Premier League table with 15 points after match day 9 of the ongoing 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.
