e. TV Ghana has launched its month long celebration of indigenous Ghanaian products, services and heritage.

The television station has for the past seven (7) years set aside the month of September to promote made in Ghana goods and services across industries.

Speaking at the launch, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Media Alliance Group, Mr. Ernest Boateng said, “the main aim for this initiative is to get people excited about patronizing Made in Ghana goods and services.” He further added. “The only way to grow as an economy is to produce what we eat and export what we grow instead of always importing all our products and services”.

Present at the launch was Ghana’s rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame who came to support the Made in Ghana initiative. He also added his voice to the made in Ghana agenda which is dear to his heart by saying, “we as Ghanaians have lost our sense of pride. It is a shame people in Kumasi will make shoes and stamp Made in Italy at the soles fearing they would not be patronized if they stamped Made in Ghana”. He admonished Ghanaians to regain our sense of pride and patronize made in Ghana goods and services as it is a way we can improve the economy of Ghana.

The seventh Edition of ‘Made in Ghana Month’ has a series of on-air and sit down programmes geared towards increasing positive attitudes to the patronage for all things Ghanaian.

The first week of the Made in Ghana month is dedicated to celebrating Ghanaian music and e.TV through its flagship entertainment programme ‘Late Nite Celebrity’ show will host legends who have dominated the music scene for years. The week will also see the airing of Ghanaian music clips and videos.
