The East Legon Executive Fitness Club has paid tribute to the eight victims of the military Z-9 helicopter crash.
The fitness club in a statement released on Thursday, August 7, extended sympathy to the government, Ghana Armed Forces and the families of the brave souls that died in the line of duty near Sikaman in the Adansi Akrofuom area of the Ashanti Region.
“We mourn with the entire country, and we share in the pain of those who have been left behind- mothers, fathers, spouses, and children whose lives have been forever changed.” part of the statement read.
The East Legon Executive Fitness Club in the statement also sent out a prayer of comfort and strength to President John Dramani Mahama, the Ghana Armed Forces and all others bereaved on account of this loss to the nation.
Ministers Omane Boamah and Murtala Mohammed along with six others, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr Samuel Sarpong – Vice Chairman, NDC, Mr Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary candidate, Squadron leader Peter, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu and Sergeant Ernest Addo perished in the crash which has sent shockwaves all across the nation.
