Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has accused the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana and its Chairperson, Jean Mensah, of engaging in criminal actions following the nullification of parliamentary results for several constituencies.

The EC recently conducted a re-collation and re-declaration of parliamentary results for 12 constituencies at the Tesano Police Training Depot. This move was strongly opposed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Sam George expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court’s ruling, which favored the NDC’s stance.“I told you Jean Mensah, Bossman Asare, and @ECGhanaOfficial were engaged in a purely partisan and criminal action with their re-collation stunts.”

The MP described the court’s ruling as a step toward ensuring the impartiality of the law in Ghana. “We would make sure the law works for every Ghanaian now! For God and Country!” he added.

The Supreme Court earlier today, Friday December 27, 2024 nullified the re-collated parliamentary election results for Okaikwei Central, Ablekuma North, Tema Central, and Techiman South.
