EDC Investment Ltd in partnership with Happy 98.9 FM is setting up an investment package for the sixteenth edition of the Happy FM Mass Wedding couples.

An initiative Programmes Manager of Happy FM Elwoode Mantey says will help ease the financial burdens of the couples and initiate them into financial planning.

“The sixteenth edition of Mass Wedding is an exclusive edition for so many reasons, one of the reason is we are setting up an investment package with an initial seed capital. We want to encourage the couples to invest in their future that is why financial advice is part of our counselling sessions, to guide the couples into a future of prosperity. I am particularly grateful to EDC Investment Ltd for coming on board to do this for the couples” he said.

On behalf of EDC Investment Ltd, Victor Tandoh, Head of Corporate for the Financial institution took the couples through the importance of financial planning.

“Most of the time majority of us tend to change our lifestyles to match our income and that is what we call lifestyle inflation. Due to the increase in expenses, there is little or no room to save and invest money. We need to watch our lifestyle inflation if we want to improve our finances” he advised.

The Financial Expert and Counsellor admonished the couples to at least save 20% of their income rather than withdrawing every penny of their income.

“You need to have a savings plan, house plan and even asset acquisition, these are some of the principles you should live by. Try to have more assets than liabilities. So always look out for investment schemes that will bring you profits rather than excessive spending. However, be aware of schemes that promise high returns with little or no risks. You can’t become rich overnight, therefore critically analyze risks before throwing money into investments” he cautioned.

The Happy FM Mass Wedding is a fully sponsored community initiative which seeks to unite would be couples and sanctify their marriages. The Mass Wedding is slated for 14th February 2022 at Wan- Shi Gardens, Asylum Down.

The sixteenth edition of the Happy FM Mass Wedding is sponsored by
HD+ as the HD Experience Partner, Tasty Tom Jollof Mix, EDC investments
Limited, Hollard, ATL, PMI Logistics, Awake Natural mineral water, Flavours Decor, Wan_Shi Gardens, College of Counselling and Psychology, Cake Tekniks, Aliquah Home of Fashion, Adwen Clothing, Purple Protocols ,Silver Hair Cut and Silver Hair, 2nd Image, Airport West Hotel and Twinnie Krafts.
