A resident of Ejisu, dressed in Ashanti war regalia, has disclosed that his reason for wearing the attire is to protect the ballots and also the voting process.

According to him, he is at the voting center to protect the party’s intsrest and ensure that the voting process is smooth and peaceful.

Speaking to Reynolds Agyemang, Happy FM’s senior reporter on the grounds, he said, “I’m done voting so I’m just waiting to ensure that there is peace and everything goes on well. My outfit does not signify war. I’m here to protect the party and ensure that no outsider comes in to cause trouble or chaos”.

He believes, everyone there is looking out for the best in the election, and is also hoping that everything goes on well and smoothly.

Admitting to the fact that the police have been deployed to ensure there’s peace and security, he noted that his presence will also be a form of support to the police as he is a resident of the town and knows most individuals in the town.

“So I’m here to help and support the police whichever way possible,” he concluded.
