Kwame Afrifa, Host of Happy 98.9FM’s super charged political show ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ has openly declared that, Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ex-President John Dramani Mahama is not going to have a smooth 2020 election as he may think.

In his usual rants preceding the show, the outspoken Kwame Afrifa said, “Mahama is not safe in this election year. We will not allow politicians to lie to us again. If John Dramani Mahama lies we will say it and his promises are not going to win him elections this time around.”

According to him, a critical question we will have to ask ourselves as Ghanaians whenever Former President Mahama speaks and makes promises towards his 2020 presidential bid is, “Why didn’t he do it back then as President? He will even forget all the promises he makes today should he be voted to power in 2020,” he stated.

He heavily criticized the former President for jabbing the current government’s cheap sale of confiscated cars to its appointees. “ We saw his (Mahama) government sell 4 wheel-drive cars for as low as 15,000 Ghana cedis and he is promising he will never sell cars to appointees. They can’t lie to us anymore. If the President, Nana Addo or Ex-President JD Mahama lies, we will say it.”

He furthered that, it will be wise for Presidential and Parliamentary candidates to sign bonds to uphold their campaign promises before their assume office. “Doing this can help us hold them accountable to their actions and even lead to an end of their tenure should they go contrary the bond.”

Afrifa made known that, Ghanaians have now become wise and would not be sold lies again. “Ghanaians will not allow politicians to sell them lies again. They have to know that Ghanaians will not buy into their vain promises ever again.”
