The Electoral Commission has urged the public to disregard misleading statements concerning the date for the 2024 elections.
“The General Public is informed that the 2024 Election will take place on 7th December, 2024.
Voters are reminded that voting on the 7h of December, 2024, starts from 7am until 5pm”.
According to a statement by the EC, December 7th, 2024 remains the date for elections and that speculations by Wontumi TV’s Oheneba are untrue and should be disregarded.

“The Electoral Commission has taken note of a misleading broadcast by a presenter on Wontumi TV claiming that there would be different voting dates for some Presidential Candidates in the December 7th General Election”, the statement added.
