General overseer of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Kumchacha, has revealed plans to run for president in the upcoming 2024 elections.

According to him, his party will be called Kum People’s Party (KPP) and their main motive is to kill poverty, debt and corruption in the country.

In an interview with Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s ‘Nsem Pii’, he said, “We’re only coming to destroy all the negative things preventing us from moving forward as a country”.

Talking about the inspiration behind this decision, he mentioned that first of all the Ghanaian constitution doesn’t prevent him from contesting as he meets all the qualifications to become president.

“Secondly, I believe that the country currently needs a spiritual leader to help us climb the ladder again. We gained independence about 66 years ago but we are still stagnant. It is time for us to see changes in our lives,” he said.

He added that, “our leaders are just confusing us with English and grammar when we need action and not promises.

However, my team and I have everything ready to serve the country and make it better. We are very serious about this and are willing to make the nation better.”
