Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

The English Premier League has paid tribute to Footballer Christian Atsu who was found dead under the rubble of his home almost two weeks after the Turkey earthquake.

Atsu, 31, had played for Chelsea and Newcastle in the Premier League.

The Ghana international was not seen since the quake that caused the collapse of the apartment in the city of Hatay in which he was staying.

We are deeply saddened by the news Christian Atsu lost his life in the devastation of the earthquakes that have hit Turkey and Syria.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Christian's family and friends and everyone affected by this tragic event. pic.twitter.com/GLqXdd80Xl
