The Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA) Disciplinary Committee (DC), has ruled against Okwahu United’s protest against Kwaebibirem United FC.

The two teams faced off in a Middle League game at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu as the game ended abruptly after the fans stormed the pitch.

There was a misunderstanding between the supporters of both clubs after Referee Emmanuel Kofi Agbodavi awarded Kwaebibirem United a penalty.

The game continued after Kwaebibirem United have scored from the penalty spot to equalize to make it 1 – 1 until the referee decided to stop the game stating his life was under threat.

Okwahu United sent a protest to the DC for the points to be awarded to them after the game ended abruptly.

However, their protest has been dismissed by the EFRA Disciplinary Committee and also fined Ghc 1,000.

In the ruling from the ERFA DC, the protest by Okwahu United FC against Kwaebibirem United F.C is disputed whilst Kwaebibirem United F.C protest against Okwahu United was upheld.

According to the DC, Okwahu United initiated steps for the match to be forfeited thus they have been declared losers of the game.

The DC declared that Okwahu United as losers will lose three points and three goals in accordance with Article 33(1)(b) of the Regulations for forfeiting the match.
