Ex-Kotoko defender John Kuffour granted bail after being arrested for biting girlfriend’s nipple

Former Asante Kotoko defender, John Kuffour has granted bail to the sum of 50 Thousand Cedis, with two sureties for bitting off his girlfriend’s nipple.

The Ejisu District Court presided over by Mr. Kwaku Baah Frempong, also ordered the families of Kuffour and the girlfriend to jointly assist the victim undergo an urgent surgery and for the accused to report to the court again in seven days.

Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Appiah Kubi, explained that the complainant , Dennisa Hagan , 36 , who is a hairdresser has been fiancée to John Kuffour for the past six years,according to report monitored on GCR – Kumasi.

However, the two parties had a row in their relationship. The prosecutor narrated that on the 1st of January, 2017 Kuffour visited Dennisa in her house to find out if she was still interested in their relationship. He said the complainant who failed to give an answer moved to her kitchen and she was followed by Kuffour to demand an answer to the question.

The complainant accidentally pushed Kuffour who was on his knees trying to find answers to the question.

As a result, Kuffour held her dress as she attempted to leave the kitchen and in the process Kuffour bit her left nipple.

The Chief Inspector said the case was reported to the Ejisu DOVVSU where the victim was issued with a medical form to attend any government hospital for examination and treatment.

After a thorough examination by the doctors at the Suntreso Government Hospital, the report indicated that an ulceration of the left breast.

Kuffour was later arrested and cautioned, after admitting that he committed the act , but added that the incident was accidental.

The Chief Inspector revealed that the wound from the bite has not been healed since then.

John Kuffour featured for Heart of Lions before joining Asante Kotoko. He has also had stints with Ethiopian side Dedebit FC.
