Italian and Turkish giant, AC Milan and Fenerbahce have reportedly expressed interest in signing Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey.
Thomas Partey is set to leave the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal is not ready to meet the terms of the player who is in his final days of his current contract which expire on June 30.
According to a report by CaughtOffside, negotiations over a new deal have hit an impasse due to a disagreement over wages. Partey is said to be pushing for a pay rise above his current £200,000-a-week salary, while Arsenal are unwilling to meet the terms.
Manager Mikel Arteta is keen on keeping the Ghanaian international to bolster squad depth, even with the likely arrival of Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi. However, the lack of progress in talks has increased the likelihood of a departure, with the player’s agent reportedly informing Arsenal that Partey will leave if a revised offer is not made.
Fenerbahce, now coached by Jose Mourinho, and AC Milan under new boss Massimiliano Allegri, have both submitted concrete offers to the former Atletico Madrid star.
Thomas Partey is understood to have held discussions with both managers and will make a decision between the two if he doesn’t get an improved offer from Arsenal.
