President of New Edubiase United Abdul Salam Yakubu says it will be betrayal on the part of football people if the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) chairman, Kudjoe Fianoo accepts government’s offer to be on the 5-member committee.
In an interview with Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Abdul Salam fumed at government’s decision to set up a new committee to oversee the affairs of football without their knowledge and called for Mr Fianoo’s rejection of his appointment.
“If Kudjoe Fianoo accepts this government appointment then he has betrayed we the football people. Fianoo have not met with anyone about this government appointment. He didn’t say a word when we met last week. He should reject it,” he told Happy FM.
“Government should have asked us to give them a representation as football people. No football person will agree to this list on the committee. I don’t think anybody will agree to work with them. We are not ready to meet them”, the sensational club president lamented
