After their recent showings during the March international break, Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, have seen a dip in the latest FIFA World Rankings.

In their recent matches, the Black Stars went against Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Uganda’s Cranes. Despite a valiant effort, Ghana suffered a 2-1 loss to Nigeria and managed a 2-2 draw against Uganda.

These results have led to Ghana slipping from 67th to 68th place in the world rankings.

Despite this setback, Ghana still holds the 14th position in Africa.

Interestingly, the top 15 teams in Africa remain unchanged, with Senegal, Nigeria, and Morocco maintaining their positions as the top three teams on the continent.

In the global rankings, Belgium has moved ahead of England to claim the third spot, while Portugal has surpassed the Netherlands to secure the sixth position.

Looking ahead, the Black Stars are determined to boost their ranking in the upcoming matches as they seek to recover from recent setbacks and climb up the FIFA rankings.

Their next challenge will be against Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
