The Independent Candidate for Fomena Constituency, Hon. Lawyer Andrews Amoako Asiamah has been elected as the second deputy speaker of parliament.
The NDC, represented by the MP for Asawase, Hon. Muntaka nominated the Independent Candidate for Fomena Constituency, which was seconded by the NPP, represented by MP for the Effutu constituency, Hon. Afenyo Markin.
Hon. Amoako Asiamah will be assisting Joseph Osei Owusu aka Joe Wise, first Deputy Speaker in the 8th parliament.
Andrew Asiamah Amoako is a Ghanaian lawyer, politician and member of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, elected to office in December 2020 as an independent candidate. He currently represents the Fomena Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
