Controversial radio personality and CEO of Oxy FM, Alfred Kwame Larbi aka DJ Oxygen has offered as unqualified apology to the founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church, Prophet Badu Kobi over alleged defamatory comments he made against the latter.
Speaking to rainbowradioonline.com, the radio personality said he would want to use the opportunity to offer his heartfelt apology to the prophet over his comments he made.
It could be recalled that, DJ oxygen made allegations on Rainbow Radio that, Prophet Badu Kobi was promised a private jet by former President John Dramani Mahama in order to malign President Akufo-Addo.
He made the allegations on GH Entertainment on Rainbow Radio, in reaction to an allegation that he was gay and having an affair with Rev. Owusu Bempah.
In an angry mood, the controversial radio owner disclosed on the show that, the man of God confronted him with a photo of a man with a striking resemblance of President Akufo-Addo, and the agenda was for him to come out public and say the man is the son of Nana Addo which he refused.
According to him, Prophet Kobi allegedly instructed him to carry out the agenda in order for him to win favours from Mr. Mahama who was at the time President of Ghana.
Mr. Larbi who is popularly called DJ Oxygen said, the prophet was expecting a private jet from Mahama and because he felt ‘’I could help in that agenda, he wanted me to destroy Nana Addo.’’
He has also threatened to sue individuals who are pushing the story of him being a gay because “the story is false and unfounded. I am being tagged a gay because I refused to do the prophet’s bidding.’’
The allegations were flatly denied by the prophet who responded saying the allegations damaged his reputation and since sued the radio owner, Rainbow Radio and Ghanaweb at the Accra High Court.
The prophet is among other reliefs seeking an order of court upon the defendants to publicly retract the defamatory statements and publications and render unqualified apology to the Plaintiff clearly stating that all the allegations leveled against Plaintiff are false through the same medium as that was used to defame the Plaintiff and publish same on all other networks as shall be directed by the court and within a time limit set by court.
DJ Oxygen when contacted said he will apologise to the prophet and appeal for forgiveness for any damages caused the man of God. He asked him to look up to God and forgive him for the harm caused him.
