Police officers engaged in a gunfight with suspected armed robbers on the Bekwai-Fomena Highway in the Ashanti Region, resulting in the deaths of four suspects.
The confrontation took place on Sunday, April 13, 2025, after the suspects allegedly set up a roadblock and robbed commuters.
While four suspects were fatally shot, two others, who sustained gunshot wounds, fled into the nearby bush.
Authorities believe the individuals are part of a gang that has been terrorizing the Adansi area.
The Ashanti South Police Command plans to share more details during a press conference scheduled for today, Monday, April 14.
