Popular comedian cum actor, Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, also known as Funny Face, has joined the fray in chiding highlife musician Kuami Eugene for his unsavoury comments about Patapaa that the latter makes too much noise in his songs.
According to Funny Face, Kuami Eugene is not bigger and better than Patapaa, “everybody loves Patapaa because he’s very humble. He remembers where he’s coming from.”
Kuami Eugene in an interview on GH One TV stated that he was not ready to collaborate with ‘One Corner’ hitmaker Patapaa for a song because he is too noisy.
“Patapaa said he needs me on a song, he’s calling me for a feature and said I no because I’m not ready,” he said on Rhythmzlive.
When asked by the host, Regina Van Helvert, if a collaboration with Patapaa could possibly happen in the future he answered in the negative.
“People shouldn’t wait. It’s never going to happen, Patapaa’s kind of songs are not me, he makes too much noise” he stressed.
But in a 43-second video on his Instagram page, Funny Face who was seen driving, stated that prior to hearing about Kuami Eugene’s statement he thought the promising highlife artist was a humble person loved by all.
“Herh this guy paa…! The thing pain me…herh! you are insulting Patapaa, you think you’re bigger than Patapaa…Really! Your ‘apantang’ is like the combat of a god” the ‘Cow and Chicken’ producer stated.
Funny Face later advised Kuami Eugene to slow down because he met people in the game who have been there for long but are still relevant because of their humility.
“Homie relax…James Bond slow down…you just came and you met people in this game but because of their humility, they are still in the game so just relax and slow down.
Meanwhile, Kuami Eugene, hours after the interview rendered an apology to the leader of ‘Pa2pa’ soldiers for calling his type of music noisy.
The ‘Angela’ hitmaker in a video stated that he didn’t make the comment out of malice but to him, he has a good relationship with Patapaa, which allows them to use certain words against each other.
“First, me den Patapaa be really close. We dey talk a lot and we dey laugh each other. Every day he just dey laugh me say I dey do too much wedding songs – wey me too I dey laugh am say he dey do too much noisy songs. So It’s something we play plus. I beg you guys should forgive me if you are offended with what I said. Forgive me. I’m so sorry,” he said in Pidgin English.
