GA South: Police clash with Soldiers over alleged ballot stuffing

Tension mounts in Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfrom Constituency as NDC supporters from Awutu Senya East (Kasoa) storm a hotel in Ga South called White Gate Lounge over allegations of thumb printing of ballot papers.

According to the NDC PC for Awutu Senya East Philys Naa Koryoo and her supporters, the NPP in Kasoa have camped some military men and NPP members in the hotel to thumb print ballot papers. They stormed the place with the Police to search rooms in the hotel.

The Military’s refusal to allow the crowd enter the place generated heated tension.

The NDC PC for Kasoa Naa Koryor has accused Hawa Koomson of being behind the alleged stuffing

The MCE for Ga South Joseph Nyarni Stevens has debunked the allegations circulating on social media that the NPP was thumb printing ballot papers in a hotel where military personnel are based at Galilea near Kasoa.

According to the MCE, it’s a calculated attempt by some unscrupulous media reporters to tarnish the hard earned reputation of NPP in the Ga South municipality.

Mr. Nyarni Stevens described the reports as fallacy, fabrication, unprofessional and false.

He has urged the general public to treat the news as false and has charged journalists to be circumspect and give accurate reportage in their line of duty.
