Incumbent Vice President of the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA), Charles Osei-Asibey, has expressed his confidence as he discussed his bid for re-election in the upcoming GAA elections.

With the electoral congress just around the corner, Osei-Asibey’s unwavering confidence and commitment to the sport have taken center stage.

Osei-Asibey, who has held the position of Vice President for the GAA for the past two years, shared insights into his initiatives aimed at the convergence of education and sports.

He highlighted the ‘EduSports’ program, an innovative approach that seeks to blend education with athletics. “An initiative I am currently engaged in termed ‘EduSports,’ that is, Education through Sports, so there is a whole lot to do,” Osei-Asibey stated.

This initiative reflects his dedication not only to the development of athletics but also to the holistic growth of athletes.

Having been an integral part of the GAA for the past two years, Osei-Asibey’s presence and contributions are well recognized within the athletic community. He emphasized, “Everyone who is well versed in our world of athletics knows my worth, and I’m super confident ahead of the elections.” This confidence emanates from his deep-rooted passion for athletics and a profound understanding of the intricacies of the sport.

Osei-Asibey also touched on his enduring love for athletics, which serves as the foundation of his determination to serve the association. “My first love has always been athletics, and I know I would be honored by being elected,” he declared. His words resonate with a sense of dedication that comes from a lifelong connection to the world of sports.

The GAA’s electoral congress is scheduled to convene on Thursday, August 10, in the bustling city of Techiman situated in the Bono region.
