GAF commits to ensuring stability and security in 2024 polls

Chief of Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah has assured the nation that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will maintain the highest level of professionalism to guarantee a peaceful and stable environment for the upcoming December elections. In collaboration with other security agencies, GAF will safeguard Ghana’s borders, preventing any external threats and ensuring the integrity of the electoral process.

During a meeting with the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah reaffirmed the Ghana Armed Forces’ commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the country. He assured the Chief Imam that the military will ensure Ghana’s peace and security are safeguarded before, during, and after the elections, providing a secure environment for all citizens.

He assured the National Chief Imam, and all Ghanaians that the Ghana Armed Forces remain committed to upholding the country’s peace and security. They will continue to diligently perform their duties to ensure the safety, stability, and peace of Ghana are maintained.

He assured the nation that GAF will discharge their responsibilities with professionalism, ensuring a secure and peaceful environment for all.
