George Andah’s surgery unconfirmed; patients responding to treatment – Aide rebuts earlier reports

Earlier claims that suggested that the Deputy Minister of Communications, George Nenyi Andah, was set to undergo surgery tomorrow Tuesday November, 6 cannot be confirmed, his Aide has said.

In a statement copied to Happyghana.com, the Aide of the Awutu Senya West MP urged media houses to stop circulating the news of the supposed impending surgery as Doctors are yet to confirm if there is a need to go ahead with the procedure.

The statement added; “Let’s rather celebrate the fact that all the patients are responsive and recovering”.

The Awutu Senya West MP’s vehicle collided head-on with an articulated truck on the Bawjiase road on Saturday.

Mr. Andah, who together with three others, sustained serious injury, were airlifted to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra for emergency care.

The four are in stable condition at the 37 Military Hospital were they are said to be responding to treatment.

They were initially transported to the St. Gregory Hospital at Kasoa where a helicopter was called in to airlift them to Accra for attention.

The Deputy Minister was in the constituency to attend a number of social functions most of which were funerals.
