George Ofosuhene blasts referee Justice Poku after WAFA draw with Wa All Stars

Accra representative of WAFA George Ofosuhene has lamented on the officiating in their 1-1 draw with Wa All Stars in Week 12 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Academy Boys got off to a fine start against struggling All-Stars at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium and deservedly went ahead in the 37th minute through Umar Bashiru.
The Northern Blues replied in the second half through a controversial penalty by David Abagna in the 55th minute.
Referee Justice Poku awarded Wa All Stars a late penalty which wasted before the official dished out a red card to WAFA goalkeeper Richmond Ayi for twi bookable offence – to the chagrin of the supporters at the stadium.
Speaking to Happy FM in the aftermath of the match, Accra Rep of the Sogakofe-based side, George Ofosuhene lambasted the official’s performance.
“Left to me alone, we (WAFA) will not report Referee Justice Opoku to the disciplinary committee. We leave him to God to deal with him. Nonetheless, I’m not the only decision maker at WAFA, so we’ll see what happens,” Ofosuhene told Happy FM.
“Referee Justice Opoku came to the pitch with the mentality of cheating us and he succeeded in doing just that.”
