The Ghana Education Service has suspended the Headteacher of the KNUST Senior High School following the death of a student there.

A statement by the GES asked headmistress Felicia Asamoah Dankwaa to hand over to the Ashanti regional Education directorate immediately.

A male student of the school was reportedly ignored by authorities after he complained of stomach ache. Sources say teachers refused to attend to him over fears they will contract COVID-19. The deceased is not to have the virus. The student was confirmed dead after his colleagues rushed him to the hospital.
