The Chairman for the Black Stars management committee, Mark Addo has promised that the Ghana Football Association will assemble a competent technical team ahead of the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
The Black Stars is currently without a head coach after the mandate given Otto Addo and his technical team expired after the World Cup playoff in March.
The Otto Addo led team made up of Didi Dramani and George Boateng as assistants with support from Chris Hughton as technical advisor qualified the Black Stars team to the World Cup after beating Nigeria in the playoff via the away goal rule.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has directed the GFA to ensure the same technical team continues until the World Cup before a substantive coach is appointed for the longer term.
However with the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers drawing near, there have been calls for the technical team of the Black Stars to be sorted out before the qualifiers start.

Mark Addo, who is also the Vice president of the GFA, says plans are underway to name a new technical team soon.
“I know we are all anticipating to know the Black Stars technical team for the World Cup but the FA will soon announce the technical team,” he told Asempa FM.
“Otto Addo and his technical team did a very good job but let us see what happens. The FA will name a competent technical team for the World Cup,” he added.
Ghana have been paired with Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in the 2022 World Cup.
The Black Stars will also face Madgascar, Angola and Central Africa Republic in the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which kicks off in June.
