Ghana’s campaign in the 2025 African Cup of Nations has ended without a single victory at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars lost 2-1 to Niger on match day 6 of the qualifiers on Monday, November 18, 2024.
The Black Stars have now ended the campaign bottom on the Group F games with three points after 6 games.
A goal each from Ousseini Badamassi and Oumar Sako secured victory for Niger while Jerry Afriyie scored a consolation goal for Ghana with Kudus missing a late minute penalty.
Niger on the other hand couldn’t secure qualification to the tournament in Morocco despite beating Ghana on the road.
Coach Kwasi Appiah and Sudan have now qualified to the 2025 AFCON with 8 points after 6 games.
