The Ghana Armed Forces has successfully evacuated three Ghanaian traders who sustained injuries during a terrorist attack in Burkina Faso.
A statement issued and signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin of the Ghana Navy, Acting Director General of Public Relations said the attack occurred on Saturday, February 14, 2026. M
The evacuation mission, carried out on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, formed part of the government’s coordinated humanitarian and security response to the incident.
The operation was conducted by the Ghana Air Force, which airlifted the injured traders back to Ghana.
They have since been admitted to the 37 Military Hospital for further medical assessment and treatment.
The Ghana Armed Forces expressed its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack.
It also offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
