The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has issued a warning to the public about a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating online and on social media platforms.
In a press release dated May 23, the Service emphasized that it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise and urged Ghanaians to disregard any contrary information.
According to the statement signed by Desmond Ackah, Divisional Officer Two (DO II) and Head of Public Relations, GNFS has not authorized any recruitment process and will only do so after receiving government clearance.
Official announcements, the release noted, will be made through national newspapers, the Service’s official website (www.gnfs.gov.gh), and verified social media platforms (@gnfsofficial).
GNFS also called on citizens to remain vigilant, highlighting that these fake notices are the work of miscreants attempting to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
Members of the public are encouraged to verify any recruitment-related information by contacting the GNFS directly via 0302772446.
The Service reiterated its commitment to transparency and professionalism, especially in its recruitment processes.
