The Ghana Police Service has applauded supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for upholding peace at rallies both held on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

The NPP and NDC held their final rallies in Legon and Madina respectively to convey their final messages to Ghanaians before the general elections on December 7.

The Ghana Police Service in a recent statement commended both parties, supporters and the motoring public for their cooperation and patience before and during the two major climaxing events.

The Leadership of the Police administration duly acknowledged the professionalism of all officers who worked to ensure peace within the Legon and Madina precincts.

Expressing its deep commitment to enforcing the law and maintaining peace, the Ghana Police Service urged all Ghanaians to maintain this manner of discipline for the general elections to be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024. “Additionally as the nation approaches the elections, tomorrow 7th December 2024, we urge the political parties, their supporters and all stakeholders to maintain the same level of discipline, unity and patriotism for our beloved country Ghana for a peaceful election.”
