The Ghana Police Service has paid tribute to 20 officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2025.
The solemn ceremony took place at the National Police Training School in Tesano, Accra, on December 10, 2025, with President John Mahama, Inspector General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno and Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak in attendance.
Six officers had their names engraved on the Police Wall of Honour, while 14 were recorded in the Memorial Book of Honour.
The ceremony is an annual event, first observed in 2014, to recognize officers who made the ultimate sacrifice serving Ghana, on peacekeeping missions, or international assignments.
The Police Memorial Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by officers protecting the nation. The Ghana Police Service continues to honour their memory and legacy.
