German-born Ghanaian defender Gideon Jung has joined SV Hamburg teammates at training after recovering from injury.
The versatile defender was ruled out for six months after suffering cartilage damage to his left knee during Hamburg’s pre-season training in Austria.
However, the 24-year-old rejoined his teammates in training this week but only did individual ball training with rehab coach Sebastian Capel.
“My injury break was quite long, but now it’s fine. I do not have any pain,” Jung said after completing his first training session.
Jung could make a comeback against Holstein Kiel on December 23.
