She outlined the agency’s ambitious plan to collaborate closely with stakeholders and key players in the music, film, and broadcasting industries.

A notable aspect of the announcement was the agency’s intention to conduct a comprehensive review of local content regulations. Gyankroma stressed the need for amendments and rigorous enforcement of both cultural policies and the broadcasting bill.

Drawing inspiration from other countries on the continent, she highlighted their successful implementation of a 70% local content law encompassing music, film, and broadcasting, urging Ghana to follow suit.

Ghanaian Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey, joined Akufo-Addo at the briefing, expressing support for the agency’s initiatives.

The event also saw the presence of various influential figures from the creative arts scene, including Smallgod, Samini, Reggie Rockstone, Black Sherif, D-Black, and DJ Mensah.
