International Diplomatic Consultant, Farouk Al-Wahab, has divulged that a lot of experts have fled the country to work in international institutions because the country only recognizes them when they belong to certain political parties.

In an exclusive interview with Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, he said: It must not take somebody to be a politician to give the country their best. A lot of knowledgeable Ghanaians are commissioners in the United Nations (UN) because these people are not recognized at home. This is because you need the elephant or the umbrella before you are recognized”.

He noted that as an international diplomatic consultant, he could have joined the parliament to serve the country. However, he is aware that the system does not recognize great talents and as such he has decided not to engage in active politics.

According to him, contesting for a political position will compromise his loyalty to the country because he will be inclined to get back all the money he invested in his campaign.

He thus advised that all who wish to contribute to the development of the country can do so without forming any alliance with political parties in the country.
