The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced 14 new confirmed cases of Mpox, bringing the national case count to 133 as of June 25, 2025.
According to an update posted on the official Facebook page of the GHS on Monday, June 30, there have been no reported deaths, hospital admissions, or fatalities linked to the virus so far.
The Service also reminded the public of the most common symptoms associated with Mpox, including fever, rash, headache, and swollen lymph nodes. It emphasized that the disease spreads primarily through close contact.
GHS encouraged the public to adopt preventive measures such as avoiding close contact with symptomatic individuals, frequent handwashing with soap and water, and seeking immediate medical attention if feeling unwell.
“Stay safe!” the health agency urged, as it continues monitoring and managing the outbreak nationwide.
