Giants of the Game

The energy at UniFest 2025 was unmatched as Giants of the Game (GoG) delivered a high-powered live performance alongside headline act Black Sherif at the Takoradi Mall Event Centre.
The group, made up of a DJ, drummer, trumpeter, and hype man, brought something refreshingly unique to the stage — liveness, rhythm, and raw energy that kept the crowd on their feet.
From the moment GoG stepped on stage, it was clear the night would be unforgettable. DJ Shyno electrified the crowd with his seamless transitions and Afrobeat mixes. Kekeli, the group’s trumpeter, added a soulful touch that blended beautifully with the high-energy drumwork . All the while, Hypegad2gar kept the audience engaged, turning up the energy with every shout, jump, and interaction.
The synergy between the GoG members was evident, and their stage presence transformed the UniFest experience into more than just a concert — it was a live performance showcase.
Prior to the event, GoG held intense rehearsals to fine-tune every sound and transition. These rehearsals, held right in the heart of Takoradi, showed the group’s commitment to perfection. Whether syncing live trumpet riffs with drum hits or coordinating hype moments with the DJ drops, every detail was rehearsed with precision.
“Our goal has always been to bring real liveness to every stage,” said DJ Shyno. “Rehearsing wasn’t just about getting the timing right — it was about making the experience unforgettable.”
With a crowd of thousands, GoG turned heads and made their presence known. While Black Sherif delivered his usual emotional and energetic set, GoG provided a new flavor — a band-like experience that fused traditional hype performance with live instrumentation. The crowd roared, danced, and vibed all night long.
