This momentous decision was made during the recent GFA election, where Gifty Oware remarkably went unopposed.

The announcement came during the highly anticipated GFA’s Elective Congress happening in Tamale, which showcased the overwhelming support and enthusiasm of the Women’s Premier League clubs for Oware’s candidacy. This development is a significant step forward in promoting gender equality and women’s participation in football governance in Ghana.

Gifty Oware’s unopposed election highlights the trust and confidence that the women’s football community has in her leadership and vision for the sport. Her tenure as the Women’s Representative on the GFA Executive Council is expected to usher in a new era of progress and inclusivity for women’s football in the country.
