The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has commenced the second phase of its 2025/2026 recruitment exercise today, Thursday, January 22, 2026.
This phase focuses on body selection and document verification for applicants who successfully completed the first phase, online application stage.
The exercise is intended to authenticate all documents submitted during the initial phase and to conduct physical assessments to identify any disqualifying conditions, including tattoos, double piercings, flat feet, and other physical deformities.
As earlier announced by the Ministry of the Interior, the screening exercise is being conducted in two sessions, morning and afternoon across all designated centres nationwide.
Applicants have been notified via text message and recruitment portal, indicating their specific screening time and venue.
Potential recruits are advised to regularly check their recruitment portals to track their progress and confirm details of their scheduled screening.
Meanwhile, the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has emphasized that the ongoing recruitment process is free, fair, and transparent.
He has cautioned applicants against paying money to individuals who claim they can facilitate entry into the service outside the approved procedures.
The Minister further urged applicants to remain calm and cooperate fully with officials of the various security services to ensure a smooth and orderly screening process.
