Gomoa Lome festival confusion: A Plus responds allegations

Independent Parliamentary Candidate in Gomoa Central Constituency, Kwame Asare Obeng (A Plus) has denied pulling out a pistol during the Gomoa Lome festival launch.

According to him, the impression the chiefs created in their statement is not true and the public should disregard it.

A Plus however admitted that indeed his team mercilessly beat the people who apprehended them at the festival.

“Infact we beat them very well”.

A Plus alleged that supporters of the MP, Naana Eyiah apprehended them with machetes which made his guards and supporters retaliate.

“They thought their MP is in power so they can do whatever they want, we faced them very well and showed them that we are not afraid of them regardless of having their government in power”.

He also said the MP out of jealousy incited her supporters to cause that confusion because of the way the people in the community came out in their numbers to welcome him.

“When it was my turn to address the chiefs and the residents of the community, they intentionally put off the speakers and started parking the chairs at the gathering. Fortunately, I went there with my own speakers so I decided to use it to talk to the people and that is when the supporters of the MP started their foolish act and my supporters also never lose guard but faced them accordingly”, he narrated.

He sounded a word of caution to the people who allegedly attacked him that if they attack him again, his boys will beat them.
