Contemporary gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy, known in private life as Mercy Twum Ampofo has said gospel music in Ghana is on the rise.
The ‘Aseda’ hit maker made the assertion on Happy FM’s Saturday morning entertainment show – ‘Showbiz Xtra’ with Doctar Cann that Ghana gospel music is gaining recognition as a powerful music genre in the country.
‘’Ghana music is going higher; I am saying this because if a Brand like Vodafone is coming on board as a sponsor for the ‘Tehilia Experience’ concert’, then it means we are getting recognition’’ she stated.
The Tehilia Experience concert brings both local and international artistes together to minister to gospel music lovers and Christians in the country.
This year’s edition is slated for 11th of August, 2019.
