The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has provided a significant update on the ongoing “No Fees Stress” initiative aimed at easing financial burdens on students in public tertiary institutions.
In a post on his official Facebook page, the Minister revealed that a total of 57,327 students have accessed the portal created for the programme, with 41,647 students completing the registration process.
According to Mr. Kwakye Ofosu, the registration is crucial not only for gathering banking details of students who have already paid their fees so they can be reimbursed, but also for validating the lists submitted by the various public tertiary institutions.
The “No Fees Stress” initiative is part of the government’s broader commitment to ensuring equitable access to higher education by removing financial barriers. Officials have urged all eligible students who have not yet registered to do so promptly in order to benefit from the reimbursement scheme.
