MMDCEs appointment: Gomoa East reschedules DCE nominee confirmation date from April 17 to April 15, 2025

Government through the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has compiled the list of nominees awaiting appointment to the office of District Chief Executives (DCE) to various district assemblies nationwide.

The announcement which was made through an official statement released on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, noted that the nominations were made by President John Dramani Mahama in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and 20(1) of the Local Governance Act , 2016 (Act 963) as amended by Local Governance (Amendment) Act. 2017.

Embedded in the statement which was signed by the Minister, Ahmed Ibrahim, was a list of 73 nominees expected to occupy DCE positions of district assemblies within respective regions nationwide, save one being the Kpando District in the Volta Region of Ghana, whose nominee is pending.
