Accra Hearts of Oak emerged victorious in the Accra derby as they thrashed their noisy neighbors Great Olympics 4-0 in week 14 of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

It was a very fascinating game as fans troop in their numbers to the Accra Sports Stadium despite the rains with just some few hours to kick off in this mid-week fixture.

Olympics made early incursions in the opening minutes of the game but the Phobians took control few minutes with the first chance of the game going in favor of the home side.

Joseph Esso scored the first goal of the game in the 15th minute as he struck the ball into the net from a rebound.

Olympics nearly got the equalizer few minutes later but Emmanuel Clottey’s effort went wide for a goal kick

The first half ended with Hearts leading the tie by a lone goal.

Hearts midfielder Benjamin Afutu increased the lead for the Phobians with his header in the 67th minute.

Another howler by the Olympics goalkeeper saw Hearts record their third goal of the game as Afutu slot the ball into the net

The Phobians got the fourth goal through Daniel Barnie who scored with the last kick of the game.

Hearts returned to winning ways following this massive win after picking a point in their previous league game against Inter Allies.
