GPL Week 9 wrap-up: Hearts hold Aduana, Kotoko beat Dreams in Dawu

Hearts of Oak shared the spoils with league leaders Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park to cement their status as one of the best clubs on the road in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians have been impressive in their away games this season as have gone unbeaten in three away games.

Aduana Stars were looking to stretch their lead on the table but failed to go past a resilient Hearts of Oak side.

Aduana Stars led by striker Yahaya Mohammed could not convert all the chances created as Hearts were also blunt in front of goal.

Hearts goalkeeper Richard Attah came up with a spectacular save to prevent Yahaya Mohammed from scoring a free kick in the 23rd minute of the first half.

Elsewhere, Dreams FC failed to beat Asante Kotoko at the Theatre of Dreams in this match day nine fixture.

The Porcupine Warriors went into the game searching for their first win after going two games without a win.

An own goal in the 68th minute from Abdul Bashiru secured the win for the Porcupine Warriors in this crucial fixture. Bashiru in haste to clear the ball away from the goal directed it into the net.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Eleven Wonders recorded their first away win of the season against Great Olympics.

Musa Sule put the away side in front in the 13th minute. GladsonAwako scored the equalizer for Olympics in the 31st minute through the penalty spot. Ibrahim Sule scored the winning goal for Wonders in the 37th minute to secure their first away win.
