Happy FM and partners to host first ever GOC manifesto dialogues

Ghana’s most innovative radio station, Happy 98.9 FM in partnership with e.TV Ghana and GTV Sports Plus are set to pull off the first ever Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) manifesto engagement with all persons aspiring for the various positions on the committee.

This initiative is part of an all-inclusive sports agenda, replicating same for the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) on Thursday, March 11, 2021.

The debate will be live on Happy98.9FM, e.TVGhana and GTV Sports Plus from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

For the very first time in its history, the GOC will open up aspirants hoping to lead the committee to questions from stakeholders and engage them in a well-meaning discourse.

Aspirants for the leadership of the GOC will also be given the opportunity to outline their plans for promoting and sustaining Ghana’s Olympic community.

Speaking on this feat of the firsts, Director of Broadcasting for Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), parent company of Happy98.9FM, Timothy Karikari said, “In the spirit of healthy sportsmanship, accountability and development of Ghana Olympics, we approached the Committee to partner with us for this educative and informative debate.

Sports in Ghana and the world as a whole is evolving and every stakeholder wants to be involved and consulted before critical decisions are taken. With this debate, aspirants have the opportunity to market themselves to their stakeholders, who will then choose who they want to lead them. Although the elections will be restricted to an electoral college, the debate will afford the aspirants an opportunity to build confidence with the Ghanaian populace and the world of sports”

To him, this debate is a win win for all aspirants and Ghana sports. He urged Ghanaians to tune in to Happy 98.9 FM follow the station’s social media handles for details of the debate, the elections and all sports related matters.
